This site is for understanding water hardness and the Hvíta softening service. It is not a booking confirmation, a water-safety assessment, or an installation contract.
Educational information
Hardness classifications and the interactive control are general information. A municipal report describes sampled sources, not necessarily the water at your address today. Moving the control classifies a number on the USGS scale; it does not diagnose plumbing or test for contaminants.
Product and performance
Ion-exchange softening addresses calcium and magnesium hardness. It is not a substitute for filtration or for laboratory water-safety testing. Model, capacity, dimensions, certifications, salt and water use, maintenance, warranty and suitability must all be confirmed in a written proposal for the actual installation.
Prices and availability
The $2,950 figure is a starting price for a standard whole-home installation, not a guaranteed quote. Plumbing access, drainage, electrical work, permits, repairs, equipment selection, taxes and other site conditions may change it. No work is authorised or scheduled through this website.
Online requests
Submitting the form requests a water test. It does not create an appointment, a price commitment, or a customer relationship until the visit is confirmed directly. The form states on screen whether a request was delivered.
